Tickety Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 July 2026

These terms apply to organisers, ticket buyers, attendees, and other users of Tickety in New Zealand.

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Tickety, including our website, organiser dashboard, checkout, digital tickets, QR scanning, support, and related services.

Tickety is operated by Webfit Solutions Limited in New Zealand. By accessing Tickety, creating an account, publishing an event, purchasing a ticket, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these terms and the policies linked from them.

If you use Tickety for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. Tickety’s role

Tickety provides technology that helps organisers publish events, sell or issue tickets, manage orders, communicate with attendees, and validate tickets.

Unless Tickety expressly states otherwise, Tickety is not the event organiser, venue operator, performer, promoter, or provider of the advertised event experience. The organiser is responsible for delivering the event as described.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep account access secure.

Organiser functions may only be used by adults or by persons acting with appropriate authority. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for promptly notifying Tickety of suspected unauthorised access.

Tickety may require identity, business, bank-account, event, or authority verification before enabling sales, payouts, or other features.

4. Organiser responsibilities

  • Publish accurate event descriptions, dates, times, locations, performers, inclusions, restrictions, ticket quantities, prices, and refund information.
  • Obtain and maintain all licences, permissions, permits, approvals, insurance, venue rights, and safety arrangements required for the event.
  • Comply with applicable New Zealand laws, venue requirements, accessibility obligations, health and safety duties, payment rules, and advertising standards.
  • Deliver the event and advertised goods or services with reasonable care and skill.
  • Manage capacity, entry, attendee communications, cancellations, postponements, and refunds responsibly.
  • Use buyer and attendee information only for lawful event-related purposes and protect it from unauthorised access.
  • Ensure that content uploaded to Tickety does not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

5. Buyers, attendees, and tickets

Buyers must provide accurate checkout information and must not use stolen payment methods, interfere with the service, or obtain tickets through fraud.

Each QR ticket is unique. A ticket may be refused if it is invalid, duplicated, cancelled, refunded, already used, or obtained unlawfully.

Unless an organiser permits transfer, tickets should only be used by the intended attendee. Buyers must check event details and restrictions before purchase.

6. Prices, fees, payments, and GST

Ticket prices and applicable fees are displayed before payment. Depending on the event configuration, Tickety and payment-processing fees may be added to the buyer total or deducted from organiser revenue.

Card payments are processed using third-party payment providers, including Stripe. Tickety does not store full payment-card numbers.

Organisers are responsible for their own tax obligations, GST status, invoicing, and the accuracy of tax information supplied to Tickety.

Tickety may withhold or delay payouts where reasonably necessary to address refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud, verification, legal requirements, negative balances, or event-delivery risk.

7. Refunds, cancellations, postponements, and chargebacks

Each organiser must state and honour an event refund policy. A stated “no refunds” position does not remove rights or remedies that apply under New Zealand law.

Organisers remain responsible for refunds arising from cancellation, non-performance, material changes, misleading descriptions, duplicate transactions, or other circumstances where a refund or remedy is required.

Tickety may process an approved or required refund and may recover the amount, fees, chargeback costs, or related losses from event proceeds, future payouts, or the organiser.

Buyers should first contact the organiser. Tickety may review escalated matters but does not guarantee a particular outcome where the organiser remains responsible.

8. Content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Tickety a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, display, distribute, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote, and improve the service and the relevant event.

You must have all rights needed to submit event names, logos, photographs, posters, music, video, descriptions, and other material.

Tickety owns or licenses the platform software, brand, design system, and service content. You must not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or commercially exploit the service except as expressly permitted.

9. Prohibited use and events

  • Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, unsafe, hateful, exploitative, or infringing activity.
  • Events or sales that breach sanctions, court orders, licensing requirements, payment-network rules, or applicable law.
  • Unauthorised access, malware, automated scraping, interference, excessive load, or attempts to bypass security controls.
  • Using attendee information for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.
  • Misrepresenting event authority, availability, charitable status, sponsorship, performers, venue, or ticket scarcity.

10. Privacy and communications

Personal information is handled under the Tickety Privacy Policy and applicable New Zealand privacy law.

Operational messages may be sent where needed for accounts, orders, tickets, event updates, security, refunds, and support. Commercial electronic messages will be managed in accordance with applicable consent, sender-identification, and unsubscribe requirements.

11. Moderation, suspension, and termination

Tickety may review, restrict, suspend, unpublish, or remove an event, account, ticket type, payout, or content where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law or payment-provider requirements, investigate risk, prevent harm, or enforce these terms.

You may stop using Tickety at any time, subject to outstanding orders, refunds, disputes, records, and payment obligations.

12. Availability and third-party services

Tickety is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to maintain reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Some functions depend on third parties such as payment processors, email providers, hosting providers, mapping services, and internet connectivity. Tickety is not responsible for failures outside its reasonable control, but this does not exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tickety is not liable for an organiser’s event delivery, venue conditions, performer changes, attendee conduct, personal injury, property loss, travel costs, or indirect or consequential loss arising from an event.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies rights, guarantees, remedies, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.

14. Organiser indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, an organiser must reimburse Tickety for reasonable losses, refunds, chargebacks, penalties, claims, and costs arising from the organiser’s event, content, breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, failure to deliver the event, or failure to meet refund or regulatory obligations.

15. Changes to the service or terms

Tickety may update the service and these terms. Material changes will be notified through the service, by email, or by updating the date on this page. Continued use after the effective date means the updated terms apply.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. The parties will first try to resolve disputes in good faith through Tickety support. If a dispute is not resolved, it may be referred to the courts or tribunals of New Zealand with jurisdiction.

17. Contact

Questions about these terms may be sent to info@tickety.co.nz or through the Tickety contact page.

This is Tickety’s operational legal draft and should be reviewed by a New Zealand commercial lawyer before being treated as final legal advice or used for a material expansion of the service.
