Tickety handles personal information in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy law, including the Privacy Act 2020.

Who we are

Tickety is a New Zealand event-ticketing platform operated by Webfit Solutions Limited. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website, organiser dashboard, checkout, tickets, scanning, support, and related services.

Information we collect

  • Account information, including name, email address, login and role information.
  • Organiser and business information, including organisation name, event authority, contact details, payout details, and verification information.
  • Event content, including titles, descriptions, venues, dates, images, videos, ticket types, capacity, and policies.
  • Order and attendee information, including buyer name, email, phone where supplied, ticket selections, order status, and communications.
  • Ticket and check-in information, including QR identifiers, ticket status, scan time, and entry history.
  • Payment metadata supplied by payment providers. Tickety does not store full card numbers.
  • Technical information, including IP address, device, browser, logs, cookies, and security events.
  • Support and correspondence information.

Why we collect and use information

  • Create and manage accounts, events, orders, tickets, refunds, payouts, and check-ins.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud, abuse, duplicate use, and security incidents.
  • Send order confirmations, tickets, event updates, service messages, and support responses.
  • Provide organisers with attendee information needed to deliver their events.
  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, dispute, chargeback, and regulatory obligations.
  • Operate, analyse, secure, and improve Tickety.
  • Send marketing only where permitted and provide an unsubscribe option where required.

Sharing personal information

We may share relevant information with the organiser of the event purchased, payment providers, email and hosting providers, professional advisers, authorities where required, and other suppliers needed to operate Tickety.

Organisers receive buyer and attendee information for their own events and must handle it lawfully and securely.

Tickety does not sell personal information.

Storage and overseas providers

Tickety uses cloud and service providers that may process or store information outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, and operational requirements.

Cookies and analytics

Tickety uses essential cookies for authentication, security, preferences, and core functions. Analytics or similar tools may be used subject to the choices presented through the site consent mechanism.

Access and correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask for correction where it is inaccurate. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Some information may need to be retained where required by law or reasonably needed for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, or platform integrity.

Privacy breaches

Tickety assesses privacy and security incidents and will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner where required by the Privacy Act 2020.
